This Privacy Policy explains how InsuranceVidya (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit insurancevidya.com and use our exam-preparation services (the “Service”).

1. Who we are

InsuranceVidya is an Indian online platform offering practice tests, mock tests, and study notes for Insurance Institute of India (III) and IRDAI Surveyor exams. You can reach us at support@insurancevidya.com or +91 9212201725.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — name, email and profile picture from Google sign-in; phone number you provide.
  • Payment information — processed by Instamojo. We do not store card / UPI / bank details. We retain a payment record (amount, plan, status, transaction reference) for accounting and support.
  • Usage data — test attempts, scores, answers selected, notes viewed, timestamps, basic device/browser info.
  • Cookies & sessions — a secure session cookie keeps you signed in. No third-party advertising cookies.

3. How we use your information

  • Provide the Service: deliver tests, grade attempts, save progress, show your dashboard.
  • Process payments and issue receipts.
  • Send account, transaction or support emails (no marketing unless you opt in).
  • Improve content quality (e.g. review reported questions, fix errors).
  • Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is necessary, with: Instamojo (payments), Google (sign-in), hosting / infrastructure providers, and authorities when required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and test-attempt data while your account is active. Payment records are retained for the period required by Indian tax/accounting law (currently up to 8 years). On account deletion we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

6. Your choices & rights

  • Access, correct or update your name and phone number on the My Profile page.
  • Request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account, by emailing support@insurancevidya.com.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (this may end access to the Service).

7. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed/secret credentials, role-based access, and reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No system is 100% secure; please keep your sign-in credentials confidential.

8. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and above. If you are below 18, please use the Service only under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the website or email. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance.
